Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 2026
1. Subject Matter of the Contract
The subject matter of this contract is the use of the WordPress plugin "Flowguard" against payment of a fee. Flowguard is a plugin for WordPress that provides automated testing, monitoring, and reporting capabilities for WordPress websites.
Flowguard enables users to create automated test flows that simulate real user interactions, monitor website uptime and performance, and generate professional PDF reports. The plugin requires a valid WordPress installation (version 5.8 or higher) and PHP 8.0 or higher.
2. Provider Information
The provider of Flowguard is:
Codepa
Daniele De Rosa
Höhenweg 13
66133 Saarbrücken
Germany
Email: hello@flowguardwp.io
Website: https://flowguardwp.io
VAT ID: DE316824826
3. Subscription Plans and Purchasing
The User may purchase Flowguard on the basis of various subscription plans via the website flowguardwp.io. The available plans include:
- Starter Plan: For personal sites and blogs, includes 1 WordPress site and 50 tests per month.
- Pro Plan: For professionals and small agencies, includes up to 5 WordPress sites and 500 tests per month.
- Enterprise Plan: For large agencies and businesses, includes unlimited WordPress sites and unlimited tests.
- Lifetime Plan: One-time payment for permanent access to Flowguard with unlimited sites.
The specific features and limitations of each plan are described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change, but existing subscriptions will maintain their current pricing for the duration of their billing period.
4. License and Rights of Use
Flowguard is the owner of all copyrights to the plugin. Upon purchase, the User receives a simple, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the plugin and its updates.
The plugin may be used for the number of websites specified in the selected subscription plan. Users may use the plugin for their own projects as well as for client projects.
The rights of use are limited in time to the term of the contract. This does not apply to Lifetime licenses, which are valid for an unlimited period of time.
The User is not permitted to:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the plugin
- Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the plugin
- Remove or alter any copyright notices or branding
- Use the plugin in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations
5. Download and Activation
The provision of the plugin takes place via a download link in the User's account on flowguardwp.io. A prerequisite for the download is the use of a valid license key provided by Flowguard.
The license key must be entered in the WordPress admin area to activate the plugin and enable its full functionality. The license key is tied to the number of sites permitted under the User's subscription plan.
6. Remote Testing Services
Flowguard's automated tests are executed on Flowguard's external servers by default. This ensures that tests do not impact the performance of the User's website hosting.
By using Flowguard's remote testing services, the User acknowledges that:
- Flowguard's servers will make HTTP requests to the User's website to execute tests
- Test data is processed on Flowguard's servers and results are transmitted back to the User's WordPress installation
- No sensitive data (such as login credentials) is stored on Flowguard's servers
Users with specific requirements may configure local test execution, which requires Node.js 18.0 or higher on their server.
7. Test Mode and Safety
Flowguard includes a Test Mode feature that prevents real actions from occurring during automated tests. When Test Mode is active:
- Emails triggered by test actions are blocked
- WooCommerce orders are intercepted and not processed
- Payment transactions use a special test gateway
- Inventory levels remain unchanged
- User registrations are prevented
Test Mode relies on native WordPress hooks to intercept actions. While this covers all well-coded plugins that follow WordPress best practices, Flowguard cannot guarantee that all third-party integrations will be fully blocked. Plugins that bypass WordPress hooks (e.g., through direct database queries, external SDKs, or custom API calls) may not be intercepted.
The User is responsible for ensuring that Test Mode is properly configured before running tests that could otherwise affect real data or transactions. Flowguard strongly recommends testing with non-production data and verifying Test Mode behavior before running tests on live e-commerce sites.
8. Support
User support is included in the price for Flowguard. Support requests must be submitted via email to support@flowguardwp.io.
The response time is usually within 24-48 hours on working days (Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm CET). Support is provided in English.
Support covers:
- Installation and activation assistance
- General usage questions
- Bug reports and technical issues
- Feature inquiries
Support does not cover custom development, third-party plugin conflicts (unless caused by Flowguard), or issues arising from modified plugin code.
9. Updates
Flowguard provides regular updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, and address security vulnerabilities. Updates are included in all subscription plans for the duration of the subscription.
Lifetime license holders receive all updates at no additional cost for the lifetime of the product.
The User is responsible for installing updates. Flowguard recommends enabling automatic updates or checking for updates regularly to ensure optimal performance and security.
10. Payment and Billing
Payments are processed securely through SureCart. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as PayPal.
For subscription plans, billing occurs automatically at the start of each billing period (annually). The User will receive an invoice via email for each payment.
Prices displayed on the website are exclusive of VAT/sales tax where applicable. The applicable tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the User's location.
11. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers) — Widerrufsbelehrung
Consumers domiciled in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the date of contract conclusion (§ 355 BGB).
Withdrawal notice (Widerrufsbelehrung):
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Codepa, Daniele De Rosa, Höhenweg 13, 66133 Saarbrücken, Germany, Email: support@flowguardwp.io) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email).
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive the notice of your withdrawal. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
Premature expiry of the withdrawal right: The right of withdrawal expires when Flowguard has fully provided the digital service and the performance has only begun after the consumer has given express consent and confirmed knowledge that the right of withdrawal expires upon complete performance (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB). For ongoing subscriptions, the right of withdrawal may expire if you have expressly consented to the commencement of the service before the expiry of the withdrawal period and confirmed this consent.
During the checkout process, you will be asked to provide this consent via a separate checkbox. Without this consent, service provision will not begin until the withdrawal period has expired.
12. Refund Policy
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, Flowguard offers a voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee on all plans, including the Lifetime deal.
If you are not satisfied with Flowguard for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date. To request a refund, contact us at support@flowguardwp.io.
Upon refund, your license will be deactivated and you must remove the plugin from all websites.
13. Contract Duration, Renewal, and Cancellation
Subscription contracts are concluded for the billing period selected at purchase (monthly or annually).
Auto-Renewal: Unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period, subscriptions automatically renew into an indefinite-term contract (unbefristetes Vertragsverhältnis) that may be cancelled at any time with a notice period of one (1) month, in accordance with § 309 Nr. 9 BGB.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the cancellation page on our website or by contacting support. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Upgrading: You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period.
Downgrading: You can downgrade to a lower plan at any time. The change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
Upon cancellation:
- You retain full access until the end of the paid period
- Automated tests and monitoring checks will stop at the end of the paid period
- You will retain access to historical data for 30 days after expiration
- Your test configurations will remain saved
You may renew your subscription at any time to resume testing and monitoring services.
14. Lifetime License (Early Bird Offer)
The Lifetime license is a special early bird offer available only during the launch period. It is a one-time payment that grants permanent access to Flowguard. Lifetime license holders receive:
- All current features forever
- All future updates at no additional cost
- Priority support
- No recurring fees
This offer is limited and may be discontinued at any time without prior notice. Once purchased, the Lifetime license remains valid regardless of whether the offer is still available to new customers.
"Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Flowguard product. In the unlikely event that Flowguard is discontinued, lifetime license holders will receive at least 12 months advance notice and will be provided with the final version of the plugin for continued use.
15. Auto-Rollback Feature
Flowguard offers an optional Auto-Rollback feature that automatically restores the previous version of a plugin or theme when automated tests fail after an update. By enabling this feature, the User acknowledges that:
- Auto-Rollback only restores plugin/theme files. Database changes made by the update (such as schema migrations or data transformations) are not rolled back.
- Rolling back a plugin or theme may cause incompatibilities with other plugins, themes, or the WordPress core version.
- Flowguard will never auto-rollback itself to prevent the plugin from being rendered non-functional.
- The User is responsible for verifying the state of their website after any automatic rollback.
Flowguard is not liable for any damages, data loss, or site instability resulting from automatic rollbacks. The feature is provided as a convenience and should be used at the User's own discretion.
16. Acceptable Use
The User agrees to use Flowguard only for its intended purpose of testing, monitoring, and reporting on websites that the User owns or has explicit authorization to test. The User shall not:
- Use Flowguard to test, scan, or monitor websites without the owner's consent
- Attempt to use Flowguard for load testing, stress testing, or denial-of-service attacks
- Use Flowguard to exploit vulnerabilities or gain unauthorized access to websites or servers
- Circumvent usage quotas or rate limits through technical manipulation
- Share license keys with unauthorized third parties
- Use Flowguard in any way that could damage, disable, or impair Flowguard's servers or infrastructure
Flowguard reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use guidelines without prior notice.
17. Service Availability and Uptime
Flowguard strives to maintain high availability for its remote testing and monitoring services. However, Flowguard does not guarantee uninterrupted service availability and shall not be liable for any downtime, maintenance windows, or service interruptions.
Planned maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. In case of unplanned outages:
- Queued test flows will be preserved and executed once service is restored
- Monitoring checks may be missed during the outage period
- No refunds or credits will be issued for service interruptions unless the total downtime exceeds 72 consecutive hours
18. Website Interaction and Side Effects
By using Flowguard, the User acknowledges that automated tests interact with their website in ways that simulate real user behavior, including but not limited to:
- Navigating pages and clicking elements
- Filling out and submitting forms
- Interacting with e-commerce checkout processes
- Triggering server-side actions such as email sending, database writes, and API calls
While Test Mode is designed to intercept and prevent real side effects, the User bears full responsibility for:
- Ensuring Test Mode is enabled before running tests on production sites
- Using test/sandbox credentials for payment gateways rather than live credentials
- Verifying that third-party integrations (CRM, email marketing, payment processors) are properly handled by Test Mode
- Any real transactions, emails, or data changes that occur as a result of running tests with Test Mode disabled or improperly configured
19. Warranty and Conformity (§§ 327-327u BGB)
Flowguard shall provide the plugin in a condition that meets the agreed-upon specifications (subjective requirements) and conforms to what a reasonable user can expect of such digital services (objective requirements), including proper functionality, security, and compatibility as described in the documentation.
For subscription-based access, Flowguard warrants that the plugin remains conformant throughout the entire subscription term. This includes providing necessary updates to maintain functionality, security, and compatibility (Updatepflicht pursuant to § 327f BGB).
If the plugin does not conform to the contract, the User is entitled to the statutory remedies under §§ 327i-327t BGB, including the right to demand conformity, to reduce the price, or to terminate the contract.
For a period of 12 months from provision (or continuously for ongoing subscriptions), any lack of conformity is presumed to have existed at the time of provision unless the nature of the digital product or the defect is incompatible with this presumption (§ 327k BGB).
20. Limitation of Liability
Flowguard's liability is governed by the following provisions:
Unlimited liability: Flowguard is liable without limitation for damages caused by intent (Vorsatz) or gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), for injury to life, body, or health, for guarantees expressly assumed, and for claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
Limited liability for cardinal obligations: In cases of simple negligence (einfache Fahrlässigkeit), Flowguard is liable only for breaches of material contractual obligations (wesentliche Vertragspflichten / Kardinalpflichten) — obligations whose fulfillment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance the User regularly relies. In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable, typically occurring damages. For subscription plans, this is limited to the total fees paid by the User in the 12 months preceding the claim. For Lifetime licenses, this is limited to the purchase price paid.
Exclusion of liability: Liability for simple negligence in the breach of non-material obligations is excluded.
Specific risks acknowledged by the User: The User acknowledges that automated testing inherently carries risks, particularly on production websites with real e-commerce transactions. This includes but is not limited to:
- Unintended real transactions, payments, or orders during test executions when Test Mode is disabled or improperly configured
- Site instability or incompatibilities resulting from automatic plugin/theme rollbacks
- Missed monitoring alerts due to service interruptions
The above limitations also apply in favor of Flowguard's employees, representatives, and vicarious agents (Erfüllungsgehilfen).
20. Data Protection and Data Processing
Flowguard processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

To the extent that Flowguard acts as a data processor (Auftragsverarbeiter) under Art. 28 DSGVO, a Data Processing Agreement is available upon request at support@flowguardwp.io. The AVV includes details on the nature and purpose of processing, technical and organizational measures (TOMs), sub-processor disclosures, and data deletion procedures.
21. Third-Party Services
Flowguard may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including:
- WordPress: Flowguard requires a valid WordPress installation
- WooCommerce: Optional integration for e-commerce testing

Flowguard is not responsible for the availability, functionality, or terms of service of third-party services.
22. Changes to Terms

Continued use of Flowguard after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saarbrücken, Germany.
For consumers in the European Union, this does not affect your statutory rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

25. Severability
